It’s that time of year! Winter is in the rearview mirror and spring is just beginning to peak through, which means that parks have kicked into high gear getting to make sure everything is ready for the 2016 season.
Most Six Flags parks will be opening shortly, and here’s a full list of opening days along with links to park operating schedules. (Note that parks which are open year-round, such as those in California and Mexico, are excluded from this list.)
Six Flags Over Georgia (Atlanta)
The park will be open on Saturdays and Sundays beginning this Saturday, March 12. Daily operation will begin the week of May 23. See the full operating schedule.
Six Flags Great America (Chicago)
Great America will open its gates on Saturday, April 23, and a limited schedule of daily operation will begin on Wednesday, May 18. Full daily operation begins in late May. Here’s the full operating schedule.
Six Flags America (Baltimore/Washington, DC)
The parks opens Saturday, March 25 and will be open the entire following week. Then, it’s weekend-only operation until the week of May 30, when daily operation kicks in. See the full operating schedule.
Six Flags New England (Agawam)
Things are a bit colder up north, so Six Flags New England doesn’t open until Saturday, April 9. It will, however, be open daily between April 9 and April 24. Then, it’s weekends only until the end of May. Here’s the complete operating schedule.
Six Flags St. Louis
Opening weekend is March 25-27 at Six Flags St. Louis. The park will be weekend-only operation until the week of May 16. From that date through the summer, the gates will be open for every regular operating day*. Here’s the link to the full operating schedule.
Six Flags Great Adventure (Jackson)
Opening weekend at Great Adventure is March 25 – 27, and is followed by a week of daily operation. The schedule gets a bit erratic from there; it’s open the entire last week of April except for Wednesday, April 27, for example; it’s also open Thursdays through Fridays in late May. See the full operating schedule for exact dates and times of operation.
The Great Escape (Lake George)
The Great Escape, also a far northern park in the Six Flags portfolio, doesn’t open until Saturday, May 21. It begins almost daily operation starting in June, with the exceptions of June 6, 7, 13, and 14. Then, it’s open throughout the summer months. Here’s the park’s full operating schedule.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas (San Antonio)
It’s open! Park operation began in late February but is somewhat erratic through March. In April and May, it’s weekends-only. Then, daily operation picks up in June. Here’s Fiesta Texas’ full operating schedule.
Six Flags Over Texas (Arlington)
Like it’s same-state sister, Over Texas is open, as well and follows a similar schedule (e.g. open for spring break in March, then weekends-only through April). Daily operation will begin by the middle of May, however, and last until the middle of August. Here’s the park’s full operating schedule.
La Ronde (Montreal)
The park’s 2016 operating schedule hasn’t been released quite yet. This post will be updated once it’s available!
Tickets and season passes are available for all parks online, and are significantly less expensive than if purchased at the parks themselves. For more money-saving tips, click here.
